The findings also demonstrated that GAH {Gender Affirming Hormone} treatment over 24 months led to significant improvement in emotional health, in alignment with other studies demonstrating improvement after gender affirming medical intervention in other aspects of mental health. Additionally, improvement in these emotional health domains was associated with an improvement in phenotype-gender congruence as measured by appearance congruence {AC}.
